The Royal Berkey is the start of our larger water filtering and purification systems.  It is just right for larger families, outdoor functions and emergencies resulting in scarce drinking water.

Capacity and Size

It holds 3.25 gallons of water, is 9.5″ inches in diameter, and stands 23″ tall.  For travel, the upper chamber fits inside the lower chamber, bringing the overall height down to 15.25 inches.

Flow Rate

Configured with the supplied two Black Berkey filter elements, it will purify up to 4 gallons per hour*.  Installing two more, will increase the output to almost 8 gallons of water per hour*.

 

*The flow rate was calculated with the upper chamber full of water. As the water level decreases, the flow rate will also decrease.
